Olohuone306 Urban Art Festival

Olohuone306 Urban Art Festival spreads around Turku every summer in the beginning of June. This year the event takes place on 2.-4.6. Open for all, and integrating the various fields of art, our festival offers an opportunity to experience art in unexpected places and situations.

Briefly about the organizer

Since 2005, Olohuone’s annual festival has approached urban art from different perspectives. The festival’s theme changes annually and in earlier years has speculated the line between what’s permitted and what’s forbidden, considered art through touch and pondered what’s cliché – or even: what is art? Our aim is to organize a festival that is accessible, sincere and ecologically friendly, linking to its surroundings.

Information about past festivals and events can be found in our archive (only in Finnish).

Safe festival experience (COVID-19)

Last few years brought surprising challenges to Olohuone, but due to the festival’s nature we could arrange the festival safely within authority guidelines.

We believe that the festival can also be safely arranged this year. In Olohuone’s case the event doesn’t gather big crowds into one place simultaneously. There’s also a lot of flexibility regarding the implementation of the event.

The wellbeing and safety of our artists, audience and the festival organizers is our top priority. We are closely following the situation and will make decisions swiftly if needed.

To make the festival as safe as possible for everyone please note:

  • Participate in the festival only when you are healthy. In case you feel sick or have been exposed to the coronavirus, please stay home to rest and follow the festival in social media. Some of the performances will be live-streamed to Olohuone’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
  • Keep a safe distance to others (1-2 m).
  • We recommend to wear a mask in situations where it is not possible to keep a safe distance to others.
  • Take good care of hand hygiene.
